It's been suggested that maybe we start to expand the show by adding content from other people into the progbox collective. I guess this could work in a few different ways
1) We have several separate shows, and release them staggered, so we could achieve a once per week release, but each person would only release once a month or so.
2) We stick to monthly format, but make the show longer, and add in content from all users into one show.
We could also combine the two and have separate shows, but combine them every month for a kind of best of show.

I would prefer option 2 - keep your branding "clean". Allow people to send in segments, but tie it all together in the show under the progbox name. A bit like having "outside broadcasts" in a news/breakfast show.

...there's no reason why you couldn't have audio segments sent in - you would just need to have some image/video to show at the time, like when foreign correspondents phone into the news.
The other area for consideration might be interviews. There are a number of ways you could achieve this, although that's probably another thread...

I just watched ep0.3 - good work there. An idea came up while wathing it.
You could have the 'Pimp My Project' part done by another author, in that way someone from the project could present the topic him/herself?

As far as this goes for me, I like the way the show is and wouldn't change anything anytime soon.
But if you would ask me to choose between one of the above options it would be 2)!

Well it probably won't change for the next few episodes, but it is something I'd like to do. The advantage with option 1, is that people could have an RSS feed for which ever host they prefer?

It's Choice 1 for me...
1 is my preference. That way we can work what we like into the show and not have to interfere with the ideas of others. It's a good way to at least get this once a week idea really going.

what about the option of people sending in desktop screen captures. this may sound a little cheezy but everyone that has manipulated gnome or kde usually makes the desktop totally different to their own liking (just give info of no mswindows, beos, or mac themed screens as that would get pretty old)
or quick segments at the beginning of the show of the newest linux news, advances, etc *example* today Dell computers released a statement that they will give the option of including linux (insert distro name here) with select inspiron *insert model here* laptops.

Another great idea. I really like this. People could give details of wallpaper, theme, font and we could put it all up. They'd have to make sure it was all free stuff though ;) Get me some examples from people and maybe it'll be in episode 4 :)
